About this experience

This Basic First Aid course is designed for people caring for children as well as people working in an industry with a significant amount of risk. A great deal of emphasis is placed on understanding the nature of and therefore preventing risks and hazards.

Course Content

This First Aid course is designed to teach participants to prevent, recognize, and treat the following illnesses and injuries:

Soft tissue injuries such as cuts, abrasions, and impaled objects
Shock
Head trauma
Sprains
Fractures
Burns
Severe allergic reactions
Poisoning
Bites and stings
Heat exhaustion
Hypothermia
Frostbite
Infections
